Use “and” to join similar ideas.

Use “but” to show contrast.

Use “or” to show a choice.

✅ Would you like tea or coffee?
Use “so” to show a result.

Use “because” to show reason.
❌ He is crying so he lost his toy.

Avoid using “but” and “although” together.
