Interested in understanding rhythm through dance or dance through rhythm? Here is a golden opportunity to explore the interconnectedness between rhythm and movement. Attakkalari announces Drumjam VMC, a one-day seminar with acclaimed musician Vasundara Das and Roberto Narain in the month of November at its multi-arts centre, Wilson Garden, Bengaluru.
The seminar will include elements of rhythm, voice and body musicality along with some basic elements of movement. The workshop is accessible to people with varying ability or proficiency in rhythm & movement from beginners to musicians/movement artists.
No prior musical experience required. Drums and percussion instruments are provided for the duration of the seminar. But if you’d like to bring your own instrument, you’re most welcome.
