Since 2020, the Government of India introduced new skill development programs for MSMEs to become self-sufficient, especially during a crisis. <\/span><\/p>\n

And to date, these programs have been a huge success. For example – the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme<\/a> <\/span>has introduced workshops, seminars, and schemes to boost MSME growth in India. This is an\u00a0<\/span>umbrella scheme under which many activities take place to empower upcoming entrepreneurs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a\u00a0Financial Express report, t<\/span><\/a>he number of trainees entering the ESDP has grown nearly 5.5 times in just 18 months!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The ESDP organizes unique training programs in multiple locations\u00a0to promote social enterprises.\u00a0As of June 7, 2021, it organized over 164 programs with 2,73,866 trainees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP)?<\/h2>\n

ESDP\u00a0<\/b>is an entrepreneurship scheme that aims to encourage youth from all sections of society to consider entrepreneurship as a career!\u00a0<\/span>It provides them assistance with aspects of industrial or commercial activity for setting up MSMEs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ultimate objective is to promote new enterprises, capacity building of existing MSMEs, and inculcate entrepreneurial culture in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Who benefits from the ESDP program?<\/h3>\n

The program benefits everyone interested in starting their own business. It is implemented through activities organized in technical institutions and business schools to lead them towards self-employment at an early age.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
