And you are done. Your KYC is now complete.<\/p>\n
Note<\/strong>: You can only invest up to \u20b950,000 per fund house each year, with this method.<\/p>\n
e-KYC (biometric)<\/strong><\/h4>\n
If you have your Aadhar number, and you want to invest more than \u20b950,000, you will have to complete the process with an in-person verification.<\/p>\n
Usually, a distributor is present to help you with this method.<\/p>\n

- Scan your fingerprint to their separate fingerprint mapping device.<\/li>\n
- Enter a few basic personal details<\/li>\n
- After your fingerprint matches, your Aadhar photo pops up on the mobile phone screen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
The photo is proof that your KYC is approved and you can invest in mutual funds.<\/p>\n
Note:<\/strong> There is no limit on the amount you wish to invest here.<\/p>\n
What is a KYC review?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
KYC regulations set by the government require financial institutions to regularly review their entire book of clients and customers. While financial institutions ideally take a risk-based approach to review customers and clients, this method can vary depending on the region.<\/p>\n
There are 3 tiers of customers who are reviewed depending on risk tolerance and regulatory guidance.<\/p>\n

- High-risk customers: they are reviewed on a bi-annual or annual basis.<\/li>\n
- Medium risk customers: they are reviewed annually or bi-annually.<\/li>\n
