Description of the workshop
Henri Matisse, the French artist, towards the end of his life, made a departure from his earlier works by “ painting with scissors”. His vivid and colourful paper cut outs are best remembered even today. So, in this workshop, we will learn about Matisse and make a Matisse paper cut out inspired work. For each age, materials and painting format will differ. Register for this workshop and we will go “Snip! Snip!”
About the workshop facilitator and teacher
Shantala Palat is an artist and also currently teaches art to grades I to V as a primary art teacher at a private school in Delhi. She enjoys working with children and adults as they bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to art, something she would never have thought of!
