With everyone at home, online live videos, meetings, and events are the way for companies to scale and grow. How? Ever since lockdown commenced, zoom and google meets have seen a 70% hike in usage from individuals and businesses alike.

So, the question arises – which tool is better for your business?

We did a quick analysis (including going through our personal experiences). Here’s what you need to know:

Zoom Meetings:

Zoom is the multitasking tool and one of the most downloaded software for meetings worldwide. It is known for ‘Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Webinars, Screen Sharing’.

Key features of Zoom:

  1. Type of meetings – Simple online meetings to big video conferences.
  2. Does not allow you to host a meeting via a browser. You need to download the app on your laptop/mobile device.
  3. Screen sharing available
  4. Unlimited number of meetings
  5. Active Speaker View (not in gallery mode)
  6. Online LIVE streaming across Youtube and Facebook – available on paid plans only
  7. Allows you to add a virtual background – available on paid plans.

Our take: Since we opted for the basic paid plan, we use Zoom mainly for live streaming our LIVE webinars, which we highly recommend if you plan to host one too.
