Instamojo 2018: A Look Back at the Year That Was

Instamojo 2018

The year 2018 was quite eventful. India didn’t just inaugurate the world’s tallest statue – the Statue of Unity – but also tackled its first post-GST budget. Meanwhile, at Instamojo, we were building, resizing, re-packaging, and re-emphasizing what we stood for. A milestone year for Instamojo, 2018 has been special in many ways.

Here’s a small snapshot of what we did this year:

Instamojo 2018

In August, we unveiled our brand new identity and hosted our first ever press conference – mojoCon. Last year, we set up the plan to become a full-stack platform for businesses. This year, we were able to launch two brand new products – mojoXpress and mojoCapital – A shipping product and working capital product, respectively.

Did you catch us on the radio? We not only had our first radio campaign but also our first outdoor branding campaign in 2 major tier II cities – Jaipur & Ahmedabad. Watching our billboards go up was a proud moment.

We not only managed to give our platform a new look but also built some valuable tools like Smart Links, added a new payment mode on our payment form – NEFT, and even put together an email tool to help 600,000+ businesses with their marketing needs.

At Instamojo, our customers are at the core of our business. We have some very inspiring entrepreneurs on our platform. We started a new YouTube series to bring their unique stories to the world. (You can check them out here.)

We could achieve all this because of a stellar team at Instamojo! In August, our Instamojo family expanded to more than 100 mojoites.

Looking back, 2018 has indeed been one of the most important years for Instamojo.

We haven’t changed. We’ve evolved. Today, we are not just a payment gateway. Today we are a growth gateway, and we are committed to building a platform that won’t just help you sort your payments out but to enable and empower businesses like you in all and any way that we can.

Here’s to an exciting 2019. Happy New Year!
